Kids Summer Book Reviews

Let's get reading and writing! We're looking for kids to review books. Children can write about any book they have read this summer. Fiction, non-fiction, comic books, you name it! We will post their review up on our blog for all to read and your child to be proud of their literacy accomplishments. Any age child is welcome to review. It's another way to get kids involved with books while they are not in school and keep up their literacy skills. Pick a book they have read the past couple of weeks since school has been out. Taking books home for the summer

We were happy to partner with several elementary schools and after-school programs to provide a book fair before school finished for the year. Madison Reading Project provides books according to grade or reading levels to put out similar to a Scholastic book fair for children to shop from. By letting kids pick out their own books is a simple but big step in making sure kids have their personal choice of summer reading. The process of being able to shop without worry is also a plus for many children who would not usually be able to go book shopping due to cost.
