Kids Summer Book Reviews

Let's get reading and writing! We're looking for kids to review books. Children can write about any book they have read this summer. Fiction, non-fiction, comic books, you name it! We will post their review up on our blog for all to read and your child to be proud of their literacy accomplishments. Any age child is welcome to review.

It's another way to get kids involved with books while they are not in school and keep up their literacy skills. Pick a book they have read the past couple of weeks since school has been out. You can include artwork or a picture of themselves with the book. Please provide first name only of the child, age and the title/author of the book. Below are some suggestions to help you child review the book and to help get the creative juices flowing.

Here are some blog questions to help your child along:

What was the story about?

Who were the main characters?

What was your favorite part?

Which is your favorite picture in the book?

Reading this book made me think about....

Was there anything funny or scary?

Would you recommend this book?

How do you feel about the book?

What was your favorite quote from the book?

Email us your child's review here or any questions you have. The review can be in a word document or scan in the review for those that are hand written along with any other details. We look forward to seeing and reading all of the great reviews!
