Books for Educators Program

Madison Reading Project is dedicated to connecting educators with free books and literacy resources that reflect and support the unique identities of their students. Our Books For Educators Program provides teachers with high quality books to build diverse classroom libraries.

If you are a new teacher, are switching grades, or if you are interested in expanding your classroom library with high quality, diverse books, you can request to be a part of our Books for Educators Program by completing our Books for Educators Program Request Form starting August 1st, 2022. Make sure to put a reminder on your calendar!

Teacher's who apply must teach in Dane County, Wisconsin.  Our Books for Educators shopping or pick up appointments will be scheduled throughout the school year on a first come first serve basis.  Teacher's are able to apply for the program once per school year.
