Classroom Libraries

Classroom Kickstart 2025 was a success! In just 4 days, we served 748 educators with 22,644 diverse books to stock their classroom libraries and ignite a love of reading.

We couldn’t have done it without our incredible sponsors, supporters, educators, and volunteers who believe in the power of books. Thank you for helping us send students into the school year with stories that inspire, engage, and reflect who they are.

Madison Reading Project is dedicated to connecting educators with free books and literacy resources that reflect and support the unique identities of their students. Our Books For Educators Program provides teachers with high-quality books to build diverse classroom libraries.

Important information:

Books for Educators serves educators working in Dane County public schools.  Books are intended for classroom use.
