We are committed to providing books and literacy programming to
underserved children in south central Wisconsin.
"In 2016 Madison Reading Project gave 10,134 books. In 2017 our goal was 25,000 books and to provide over 60 literacy-based events at partner locations. We succeeded our goal and this year our goal is 30,000 books and over 100 literacy programs. Literacy is a life skill and book ownership is something all children deserve and need."

"Thank you so much for your generous donation of books for our Free Book Table at our Book Fair. I had teachers and students commenting on the wonderfully diverse collection! Our fair was low on Spanish books and your books filled that need. More than 200 kids walked away with a book from your table and they all beamed with pride and gratitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Madison Reading Project has given our school an avenue to ensure our at-risk students have access to books they are excited about. Students are talking about their birthday book and there is nothing better than sharing a high-five when they're finished. We are thankful for this gift that bridges reading between school and home."

"We wanted to thank you for your contribution to Bayview's community picnic yesterday! The book selection you brought was so diverse and thoughtfully curated and I think the children really enjoyed being able to choose their own books. I am excited to use the books you left over for us in After School or to distribute to families in the neighborhood."
