Literacy Enrichment Programs
Madison Reading Project partners with schools, neighborhood centers, after school and summer programs, child care providers and other organizations to provide fun and engaging literacy enrichment opportunities.
Summer Reading Program
Last summer, we partnered with local schools and community organizations to provide books for families who are staying at home. Our goal was to provide 10,000 books to over 1,000 children from June 22nd - July 31st. We're happy to announce we provided 12,224 books to 2,987 kids!

School Year - Program Request Form
During the school year we tailor activities to meet the needs of our partner programs. Programming visits include a read-a-loud story followed by an enrichment activity. We select books and activities that are fun, engaging and spark a joy for literacy.
In addition to the program activities, we provide each program with a copy of the book we read and each participant with 1-2 books to take home.
Our school year programs are currently best suited for children in grades PreK through 3rd grade. With proper notice, we are able to tailor lessons to younger or older students.
